THEOLOGY & DOCTRINE

We believe that, in a world where hope is dead,
Jesus brings dead things to life and He is doing it here.

God the Father

We believe God the Father is the Creator of all things and the source of all life. He is loving, holy, all-knowing, and perfect in everything He does. We believe in one God who exists eternally as three distinct Persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — equal in power and united in purpose.

God the Son

We believe God walked among us two thousand years ago as a man named Jesus of Nazareth. We believe Jesus was fully God and truly human. He lived the sinless life we could not live, gave Himself on a Roman cross in our place, and rose from the dead three days later, defeating sin, Satan, and death. He then ascended to the right hand of the Father and promised to return one day to make all things new.

God the Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit draws people to Jesus and gives new life to all who believe. He lives within every Jesus-follower and shapes our character to look more like His. The Holy Spirit guides us, teaches us, convicts us, and empowers us to live out God’s purpose every day.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and trustworthy Word. It is without error and gives us everything we need for the questions, struggles, and choices we face in life. We believe we should regularly read, study, and obey the Bible so we can know God, grow our faith, and deepen our relationship with Jesus.

The Church

We believe the Church is made up of all who follow Jesus. Every Jesus-follower belongs to the universal Church and is called to be part of a local church where they can worship, grow, serve, and live on mission together. Jesus has chosen His Church (His people) to carry His message of hope to the world. The Church is called to live as everyday missionaries, reaching those who are yet to believe and helping those who already believe continue to grow in their faith. The Bible instructs us to share the good news, make disciples, and build up the Church in love.

Salvation and the End

We believe that salvation is found only in trusting the finished work of Jesus. All who turn to Him are forgiven, made new, and brought into God’s family. We believe Jesus will return, and when He does, He will gather His followers to Himself and judge all who refused to believe. We believe every person will live eternally, and their eternal destination will reflect the decision they made about Jesus in this life. We hold these beliefs not because we think we are better than anyone else, but because the Bible teaches them. We also believe Jesus will one day make all things new, bringing perfect restoration, justice, and life that never ends.

Christian Living

We believe Jesus-followers are called to grow in every part of their lives. This includes what we believe, what we do, and who we are becoming. No one is fully mature, and every Jesus-follower is invited to keep growing closer to God. As we follow Jesus, we learn His ways, live out His truth, and allow Him to shape our very personhood into something new.
