FIGHT CLUB
"FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT FOR THE TRUE FAITH...ACT LIKE MEN, BE STRONG." —THE BIBLE
WHAT IS FIGHT CLUB?
Fight Club recognizes that we need a better generation of men and that true masculinity, contrary to cultural narratives, is not inherently toxic.
In a world where the battle for the hearts of men is intense, God’s fatherly call challenges men to rise above and beyond. Fight Club is our response—a discipleship and equipping cohort for men at Bay Hills. Fight Club is designed to draw men into greater responsibility and elevate them into leadership roles within the home and the church. Whether you’re aspiring to be an Elder, a Pastor, a business leader, or simply a better husband, father, or friend, Fight Club is an exclusive, invitation-only community dedicated to that mission. Fight Club finds its living and being in the following verses:

Fight Club finds its living and being in the following verses:
1 Timothy 6:12 (NLT)- Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
1 Corinthians 16:13 (ESV) - Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
WHY WAS I INVITED TO FIGHT CLUB?
As an invite-only cohort, there are three criteria for inviting candidates:
- You have demonstrated a capacity for leadership in some way, either through your role or your voice.
- You have demonstrated a desire to grow in some way, either explicitly or in your posture.
- The Holy Spirit has, in some way, confirmed your name to one of our leaders or past participants in Fight Club.
WHO LEADS FIGHT CLUB?
Fight Club is currently led by Pastor Allen, our Senior Pastor. He is deeply committed to this process as a regular part of his discipleship goals and vision for Bay Hills and its future.
WHAT ARE THE RULES OF FIGHT CLUB?
You should not accept this invitation lightly. Fight Club is not for the faint of heart. Every man who participates is expected to adhere to the following rules (FYI, seven is the number of perfection):
As soon as other participants within Fight Club suspect you're not all in, expect to be withdrawn from the cohort. It's nothing personal, but experience has shown rigidity in these areas is necessary for the process to be successful.
- Be discrete - the first rule of Fight Club is exactly what you would expect: "Don't talk about Fight Club." In every session, men will be confiding and confessing. This must never leave the confidence of the cohort. Further, Fight Club cannot be the "envy" of the church. If you "brag" about it, others will be hurt for feeling left out.
- Be on-time - each participant sacrifices from their vocation and/or family to be engaged with Fight Club, including its leader. Their time is valuable, and how you respect it communicates something about your character.
- Be humble - you have a lot to learn. All of us do. And nobody likes a "know-it-all." A willingness to have your thinking conformed to Scripture is necessary for surviving Fight Club.
- Be prepared - you will have homework and assignments. At times you will be given instructions to prepare for upcoming sessions. Those that put in the work will be easily distinguishable from those that do not.
- Be engaged - Fight Club is not a spectator sport. Your voice and your participation are expected at every session. Further, it is expected that each participant is regularly attending Bay Hills during this season.
- Be thick-skinned - expect to be confronted, both your thinking and living. This will sometimes happen in ways that will be hard to experience or hear. If that's not something you're prepared to endure, Fight Club probably isn't for you. Further, if you are asked to leave the cohort for whatever reason, you must have thick enough skin to prevent that from affecting your relationship with Bay Hills as a whole.
- Be prayerful - a real man is a praying man. We expect every participant to up their game with respect to intimacy with Jesus during this time.
